# ready_timeout_secs

Generated from the code · as of CLI 0.6.0

How many seconds OmniArc waits for the services to become ready.

- **Type:** integer, 1 to 3600
- **Required:** no
- **Default:** 300
- **Errors:** [`ready-timeout-zero`](https://docs.omniarc.eu/errors/ready-timeout-zero.md), [`ready-timeout-too-long`](https://docs.omniarc.eu/errors/ready-timeout-too-long.md), [`overlay-parse`](https://docs.omniarc.eu/errors/overlay-parse.md)

A deploy, and any later start of the arc, waits this long for every service to be up and, where compose defines a health check, healthy. If a service is still not ready by then, the deploy fails.

Raise it for services that take a long time to boot, such as a large migration on first start. The most it accepts is 3600, one hour. Zero is refused, because every deploy would time out at once.

```yaml
ready_timeout_secs: 600
```

**Example: arc.yaml**

```yaml
ready_timeout_secs: 600
```
