CLI reference

omniarc env

Generated from the code · as of CLI 0.6.0

The arc's .env: one file for every branch, values write-only.

Talks to the orchestrator with OMNIARC_KEY. A change takes effect at each branch's next deploy. No command here prints a value.

omniarc env [OPTIONS] <COMMAND>

Options:

  • --json: Print machine-readable JSON instead of a table.

# omniarc env push

Replace the arc's .env with a file, byte for byte, or with several merged into one. The files themselves are never bundled.

omniarc env push [OPTIONS]

Options:

  • --file <FILE>: The file to upload as the arc's .env. Repeat it to merge several in order (--file .env --file apps/api/.env): a later file's value for a name replaces an earlier one's. Default: .env.
  • --arc <ARC>: The arc to act on. Default: the arc: in ./arc.yaml.
  • --create: Create the arc (placed on a node) when the organization has none by that name. Without it such an arc is refused and nothing is sent.
  • --json: Print machine-readable JSON instead of a table.

# omniarc env set

Set one variable. The value is read from stdin (or typed, unechoed, at a terminal), never from the command line, so it stays out of shell history. A value with a quote or a newline needs env push.

omniarc env set [OPTIONS] <NAME>

Arguments:

  • <NAME>: The variable's name.

Options:

  • --empty: Set it to the empty string. Nothing on stdin is refused otherwise.
  • --arc <ARC>: The arc to act on. Default: the arc: in ./arc.yaml.
  • --json: Print machine-readable JSON instead of a table.

# omniarc env unset

Remove one variable.

omniarc env unset [OPTIONS] <NAME>

Arguments:

  • <NAME>: The variable to remove.

Options:

  • --arc <ARC>: The arc to act on. Default: the arc: in ./arc.yaml.
  • --json: Print machine-readable JSON instead of a table.

# omniarc env list

The names in the arc's .env, and which branches are behind. Never a value.

omniarc env list [OPTIONS]

Options:

  • --arc <ARC>: The arc to act on. Default: the arc: in ./arc.yaml.
  • --json: Print machine-readable JSON instead of a table.
